As the title says, I am trying to replace the starter motor on my 2014 S5 with the 3.0t engine and DSG transmission.

I have the car on quick jacks and in the service position.
The alternator is removed, engine supported and passenger side motor mount is out.
I am trying to figure out how to access the upper starter bolt on trans side of the bell housing but space is very limited.

Has anyone done this job before or know of an online service manuals that details this procedure?

Also would this be worth posting in the forum for the 3.0T engine or under any of the other cars that use it?

Yes I was looking for something like that but wanted to confirm that they had actual instructions other than "remove the engine to replace starter"

Everything is under odis and the instructions can be VIN specific. Over simplifying the process and google is your friend.

1. Create erwin account: https://erwin.audiusa.com/erwin/showHome.do
2. Purchase an Audi erWin 1-Day Subscription and link to the erwin account you created in step 1 above. Link to purchase subscription https://literature.audiusa.com/welcome.asp and go to the Odis and Erwin Service Link
3. A credit will be applied to your erwin account. When the credit is available log int to the erwin account in step 1 and apply the credit. Your 24 hour pass begins then.
