Default B9 Cabrio broken rear seat release cable

Have a 2018 S5 cabrio with a broken rear seat release cable on the passenger side. Trunk lever works fine but there is no tension on the cable. Seat is locked in upright position and I can’t find anyway to manually release the seat latch to investigate further. Any thoughts short of taking it to the dealer?

I am trying to get the same information.
How do you get the seat down if the release cable has broken?

I’d like to know too, this happened to my rear left seat today too. No tension in the release leaver and cable feels loose
mines a convertible so wondering if I can access any parts with the roof storage lid in the up position

I was thinking the same thing. I can’t find any diagrams to know what to try and take apart first. Does anyone know where to find a manual or any illustrations to try and start a disassembly? Thanks!!

It's import that we're able to get both seats down as they need to be folded down to perform the emergency roof food procedure on the cabriolet

Update: Fixed! Was a real pain of a job but the guy in London (UK) who does my retrofits was able to sort it and it's now as good as new.
The cable hadn't stamped, but rather a very flimsy plastic part at the end which connects to the latch had snapped. Very poor design

Don't leave us hanging here - how did he get the seats down to work on the cable?!

Default USD 1,100 to replace cable?

Same issue here.

Dealer parts and labor cost quoted as almost US$1,100 to replace the latch and cable in an 18 A5 cabrio. Dealer said no way to release seat without repairing (even for a one-time release to keep the seat down).

Does this sound reasonable or is the dealer overcharging?
