Default A3 3.2V6 Quattro DSG

I have just bought a 2004 A3 3.2 V6 DSG Quattro, done 140,000 kms.

Just done some major servicing - new oil, filter, oxygen sensors, spark plugs, DSG oil and filter.

Engine now surges once warm at anything up to 2,500 rpm. After that it is fine. No warning lights are flashing.

The surging is inconsistent, but the problem is worst when you are trying to go light on the throttle. It is as if it needs more fuel to get rid of the problem. Economy driving is not an option.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? I realise there are a number of possible causes, but am not keen to go ahead tinkering if the solution has already been discovered.

Appreciate any thoughts / comments
