Default Adding auto hold?

Been driving a 2023 s3 around for a couple weeks now and am really missing the auto hold feature found in other cars. I searched and found there was a way to add it in the previous generation a3/s3 and am wondering if anyone has figure out how to do it in the current 8Y generation. It was a simple add of a button and coding for the 2022 VW Tiguan I sold to get into the s3. Hopefully it will be the same for current a3 and s3?

Are you referring to the hill hold assist or something else? If former, then this in your owner's manual page 89...

The feature I am referring to is used at stop lights where you can press the brake pedal firmly and release. The car would then not move forward until you press the accelerator pedal.

Ah sorry, I didn't know such a feature existed.

That's where you turn it on/off - I think they all have this (auto - EU models)

this is promising. If the hold assist is controlled in the MMI, then us USA folks may be able to get this added via coding. My owners manual does not have this section.

I have had manual trans cars with this feature, and it is very handy for those applications, but I'm not sure I'd find much use for it in a trans without a clutch pedal. That could just be me....
