Yet another RS3 tire question...

FYI - I did a google search on "can haldex systems work with different circumference front to rear" and found the following info on the VW Vortex website - apparently Haldex can handle up to a 4% difference in circumference (info is a bit old but I would guess it should apply to the current Haldex systems). See the email and links below.

Hi Franz,
Yes, we do compensate for tiresizes up to 4%. This since we read the wheelspeed and the driveshaft and can understand if you have a minispare, weared down tires or different sizes.

que: Does the Haldex System compensate for different wheel diameter between fron and rear?
I am looking to run a staggered setup on my VWR32 and want to know if I have to run 100% equal or if i can use slight diameter differences
Thank you very much.

235 is not enough front tire on this car unless you drive like a grandma. Even with a bunch of camber its not enough. About to put 255's on front. Bought some "-1" - 18x9 ET30 wheels and going 255/35 front and 235/40 rear (rears slightly larger diameter just like RS3, but with a little less difference)...

Surprised to see such an old thread!
I am running 245/40/18 Michelin A/S3+ now at 30,496 with 21,957 miles being fast country back road runs 3 days a week 10am - 2pm when roads are very quiet as everybody is at work, school, etc. Will soon be installing new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 245/40/18 on identical Neuspeed RSe10 18x8.5 wheels. Been running these roads since 1973 when I moved form Santa Monica Calif to northern VA and started running country back roads here. The original 235/35/19 tires on our new 2019 Audi RS 3 lasted 3 days, as their tiny sidewall tires could not handle our country back road defects at speed!
When the weather warms up a bit, I'll begin running our country back roads again, with the new Pilot Sport 4S. As I am retired, I am fortunate to run these roads during non peak times, with little or no other traffic involved, on days of excellent weather. Soon to be 82 years old, I am very fortunate to still be able to drive such a vehicle at speed and enjoy what the roads and vehicle offer. And today's current high performance vehicles such as our Audi RS 3 are truly amazing and capable vehicles, for those of us who take the time to truly experience and learn what is possible in these vehicles, such as I have been doing 72% of my driving time in our 2019 Audi RS 3.
