Default Track tire options, v-RS3

Is anyone running 265/30/19 on the rears? I'm looking at going for a square setup with tires that I can use on track and street for the RS3

My options are either:
1. Neuspeed wheels with Bridgestone RE-71R (staggered?) - Track dedicated set. Run Stock wheels & tires for daily. I drive maybe 4k miles a year. Many to / from the track.
2. Neuspeed wheels with Michelin Cup 2, 265/30/19. This option brings the speedo closest to stock with a -0.10% variance. But am not sure if the 265/30 will rub or not.

Offset on neuspeed wheels will be ET45

Default Unfortunately, it is not likely to fit

I looked at track setups with my tire supplier when I was getting my winter setup, and his measurements of the space at the rear led him to advise that a 265 would not be possible. However, if you are able to prove me wrong, I would love to know what your setup is so that I can do the same. Ideally I want the widest possible tire for the track, but I don't think I will get past 255 in the read (and maybe only 245).

Default What did you finally chose ?

Hello Karl,

What dis you finally chose as track wheels for the RS3 ?

We appear to have the same objective to put 265 Cup 2 tires under it !

Have you succeeded in doing so and if not, what was the chosen setup ?

Thanks in advance !

Pierre.

Well 255-30-19 will fit perfect all the way round, zero issues using 4 front wheels...... have not tried the 265's but it will be close

Are you guys talking on stock wheels? There's plenty of room up front, though a square setup just makes it understeer more, and since you want to run this on track, you would be far better served having a dedicated set of track wheels/tires. I have 18x9 ET30 on mine with the 255/235 stagger and and 034 camber plates up front and there's loads of room up front. Good 18" wheels will be lighter and less inertia anyway. I'm pretty sure 275's will fit up front with plenty of clearance.
