Mercedes and BMW are German made and offer remote start.

Agree. Why they don't offer it for Audi/US market is baffling. Mercedes/BMW offer it.

I wish they offered it also. I read something that in Germany, it's illegal to have a car running without a driver behind the wheel? Not sure what that has to do with us here
