PODS Stills Malfunction after Recall repair on S3

Thanks for this thread gang. Consider me another victim to this, with two separate A3's.
Long story short, had a Prestige '15 A3 that this happened to, covered under warranty. I first noticed it yelling at me when I put my phone on the seat. Final kicker was when I placed my backpack with laptop on the seat. ~45k miles.
Now have a Premium Plus '15 A3 (RIP to the Prestige). Placed backpack with laptop on seat that did me in ~85k miles. I'm tossing around trying to fix it myself but $300 for the part + it'll take a few hours + possibly having the dealer reprogram it = $500 + a Saturday. After doing research and reading multiple users having the same issue, think I'm just going to pay the $1200 at the dealer and bet on a recall.
I'll be reporting both instances to the NHTSA as others have done.

Got this email from the NHTSA over the weekend. Im hoping this means our complaints have been heard.
gregYour vehicle MAY be involved in a safety recall and MAY create a safety risk for you or your passengers. If left unrepaired, a potential safety defect could lead to injury or even death. Safety defects must be repaired by a dealer at no cost to you.

Good to know! Mine has started acting up very badly, just in the last few days. Plus I see that my VIN (2018) is on the aforementioned NHSTA link. It states that there is not a repair as of this time. At least it will be fixed (again) hopefully.

So glad the recall finally came. My extended warranty doesn't cover airbags (wtf?!) and when this first started after the last recall I was told, and I quote "All we did was swap the wire, it's impossible it caused this issue."
Part of me is glad I never paid the $1200 to fix it on my own. Part of me thinks that's a small price to pay for a year's worth of sanity. Had it not been for COVID and only driving 3k last year, I definitely would have caved and paid for them to fix it long ago.

I am currently dealing with this like many others. Was pretty much told to get bent by big Audi as well as my dealer. Same thing. $1400 to fix. Does anyone know when parts will be available for this recall? Its kind of annoying only being able to utilize 3/4 of my car...

I think we need a class action law suit. They had customers experience problems with the 2015 models, but continued to use the same parts through the 2020 models without disclosing the problem--that sounds like fraud to me.
