Firmware Update Virtual Cockpit Audi A3 8V error message
Hi I have an Audi A3 8V 2017 with MMI Plus and Virtual Cockpit. I have updated the MMI to the latest version.
MHI2 with B&O FW: MHI2_ER_AU37x_P5089_MU1326
Virtual Cockpit updated from SW 8V0920790A 0066 to 8V0920790B 0150.
Now when I open the door, on the VC display appears the following message: Brake booster: Function restricted. It is possible to continue driving. Please contact service.
There are no errors in the fault log (obdeleven) > I updated again to the latest available VC firmware found on mibsolution
one 8V0920790B 0162 > Error still present.
In another forum, other users who have updated to VC FW 0150 or higher have the same problem!
Can I downgrade or reinstall the VC firmware or is there another solution for this software bug in the VC? If not, could you at least turn off the nerdy sound (gong) when this message appears?
Thanks a lot

Hi !!
Some people inluding me encouter this problem.
I ask Audi and they recommande to change the VC for 5000€…
So…I’m gonna wait a new SW version and try again but I’m not confident for the resolving of this issue…

After the update, I've got the "Brake servo" error when I unlock the car.
It disapears after ignition on or engine on, and it reapears after engin off before I lock the car.
No error on any Control Units on
Battery not changed.

I'm really concerned about this. Went to my audi dealer and after trying some differente configuration the car stopped acting like this 24 hours. Now again the same errors
So my question is, it is VC or can be gateway?? Gateway should keep errors but, in my case, no error when i scan the car.
About VC update, what i see if the people who made the upgrade still have the same errors, defective unit??

I have tried the following:
OBD11 > Control unit 03 Brakes > Adaptation > Starting vibration reduction setting from Normal to Deactivated
The same error message appears on the Virtual Cockpit (brake servo rest.....) and then engine off and on again and this message no longer appears. But as soon as I switch the engine back on and off again > the error appears on the display again. I think it could have something to do with the ABS control unit? The installed software (8V0920790B 0162) seems to be for an Audi Q2.

Hello
I don't think it is ABS, no error in gateway and no error in brakes.
Several people in other sites are complaining about this and other errors. I think it is soffware related, incompatible between modules. Have you update any module?
My problems came after battery change and rear view cam retrofit.
So, for me, it is not clear whats is going on.
