Very nice TJSpS3! That's a very nice contrast with the red interior. Do you have the standard seats or the optional S Sport seats? In any case that's a nice color combo. Congrats on your new ride as well!

LOL @ "basket weave" description. First time I've heard that. My car was on the lot and equipped with the sport seats otherwise I probably wouldn't have opted for them. Regular S3 seats are fine IMO and no additional diamond stitching or whatever you want to call it.
I didn't know it was only available in black though. One thing I did learn is the S sport seats only seem to come in manual meaning no power seat option for some reason. At least that's the case on my car. That was one surprising thing but in theory I understand it.
Hardcore enthusiasts like to shave weight anywhere they can, including the dead weight from various motors that control things like the seat controls, etc. I used to be like that and went with no sunroofs and so on. I'm not like that anymore and would actually have preferred power seats but no biggie. Same goes for having S-tronic as opposed to a manual stick shift.
