Default 2017 A3: Where do you keep your coins?

I just got a slightly used 2017 A3 last week. Very happy with it, but I'm still sorting through some of the mundane parts of getting acclimated in a new car. Like...

where on earth do I keep my coins? There is no ashtray (that I've found) and the storage container under the armrest is too big and deep.

Is there some storage space that I'm missing? Can I be the only person with this issue?

I don't normally have cash or coins so not a problem for me. However, you can get a change holder that fits in a cup holder. If you are willing to give one up.

Also, the center console isn't large in my opinion. With sunglasses in a case plus an ez pass transponder there isn't much room left. I do like how there is a gap to allow for phone charging cables.

I use this.

It's a decent solution but not the best build quality. I'm not sure if it fits the 17s but I don't see why it wouldn't unless they changed the arm rest for the facelift cars.

I rarely carry coins, but I keep an old pill bottle full of quarters in the glove box (for parking meters or self-serve car washes).

I have this as well and drive a 17. I actually really like this tray especially since it says s-line, really keeps all my stuff organized. It doesn't exactly hold a lot of change though, if OP is interested.

I'll definitely check this out. It will hold change, but it also looks like it can add a little organization to this compartment. Otherwise, that space could become a dumping ground for all sorts of crap.

I don't expect to have a ton of change, but it's nice to have a few quarters around when I encounter old-style parking meters.

thanks

Default Armrest/door handle bin

Storage space is one of the few things I can complain about with my S3, other than that, I love it! For coins, I ended up getting one of these off of ebay, leaves the other spots free. Fit is good, even comes with a small vinyl/rubber mat on the bottom that says S-line....took about 3-4 weeks to come from China, otherwise I'm satisfied with it.

FIT FOR 2013 -2017 AUDI A3 S3 FRONT DOOR HANDLE ARMREST STORAGE BOX COVER HOLDER
