COOL vid, thanks! So east coast, miss that place sometimes, so curious what tracks cost out there compared to here in CA.
Laguna Seca (for my Motorcycle) was about $300 for a day.

There's a noticeable delay if you shift during certain circumstances with the manual mode. It's better, for sure, but it's far from true manual precision - an example is during VIR's "roller coaster", which is a sequence of right-left-right downhill corners that requires a lot of on-off throttle balance.

In my Porsche 944 turbo race car with a front splitter, big wing in the back, and r-compound tires (210 hp at the wheels and 2950lbs with me in it), I can turn a 1:24 on a good lap. But, that's a track car with a full cage so I'm not afraid to get close to the edge. With R-compounds, brake pads designed for the track, and a rear sway bar to reduce the understeer, I'd guess I could take a 2015 S3 to 1:28, if I was pushing it. But, I'm not going to push an expensive car that's my daily driver and does not have any safety equipment.

Good thing you are able to practice self-restraint and understandable. That's the one reason I would hesitate to track it.
But the Audi driver days are so tempting...

The car I was referring to specifically there was one of Audi's loaners for their club track day, an MQB A3 2.0T quattro. Due to gearing it was all over redline and required an upshift, but due to the on-off balance there the car felt like it was always a second or two behind what I needed it to do.
