Would you buy the A3 again?

3 Months shy of 2 years with the A3, Brian........
I really miss AWD.
But I don't miss hitting the pump twice a week.
The infamous combo of the 2.0T + Quattro would be sweet, but also very pricey.
There is nothing out there that interests me. And especially in the A3's price range.
If I would have spent more $? An Avant would have been fun. I could definitely do a lot of damage with a Cayman. It's $63k though. Problem is, that is base. After modding the A3 to the level I did, I have learned many valuable lessons. My next car will hopefully have an amazing factory-tuned suspension. Possibly navigation.
The Cayman in proper trim for me, would be the Sport Pkg. Cha-ching. An extra $20k. Now we're at $83k. Not. I'd rather purchase a CPO C4S.
But back to the A3. I like it. It's so unique and such an underdog. I should have gone with Xenons. $500 option. A no-brainer.
I wish I didn't get lava gray. Not fun enough. And there isn't enough contrast between it, and the open sky rooftop. I should have gone with my original choice, white. IMO it's hot with open sky, light tints, and hawt wheels.
All in all. I'm very fortunate that I purchased the A3. It lead me to an amazing new passion but more importantly, MANY fantastic people.
Some of those people we form a virtual-online-brotherhood with (national, worldwide friends on the AW forum). But in my case and some of you as well, there are local guys as well. I have become very close with a number of fellow enthusiasts b/c of the Audi connection (primarily via DVAG).
Because of this. I really hope the S-cars come back to bi-turbo. And not V8. I want to keep it in the family. Audi/Porsche.

I did as well...
After the 1st one was totalled (Saturn pulled out in fron tof my wife at 60mph - she walked away, and the Saturn "disintigrated" in the words of the accident investigator (driver on the far side of the impact survived OK thank God).
New one is a MT vs. DSG and added the Tech package, still has S-line & Nav - very nice!
New one has a few cool features like the oil temp readout, and MPH readout in the trip computer.

Maybe this is really a question of what you would change in the A3?
I'd really, really like rwd, tho I'd settle for rwd biased 30/70 Quattro.
I'd like to have the brakes take a better intial bite, sometimes in stop/go traffic, the car doesn't give me the impression the brakes are working for the first few feet. Unnerving.
Otherwise...I'll take the car exactly like I have it optioned with the same paint color too.

Dodge Caliber. Much better fit/finish than Audi
More bang for buck. I saw one today....when they put their right turn signal on the same headlight shut off. Now thats a cool car.
