Default Took the 3 to the body shop today...

but before I did, I called the Audi service manager to find out where they send their Audis to get bodywork. Just so happens its the same place my insurance company recommended and has an agent/claim adjuster, ABRA.

Damage assessment: Front left fender needs to be replaced. The upper left area of the left side of the bumper has been pushed in slightly...may pop back out when they remove fender. The hood sustained very, very slight damage. However, if there is a silver lining to this incident, the hood and the fender will be painted to better blend. This means the ding (caused by a big frigging rock)on the front of the hood will be repaired.

Any idea how long? Glad that you can see the silver lining!

Default had my front left fender replaced

I scuffed an SUV - it was 50/50 fault

They polisehd my lense over the headlight for scratches sustained- Can't even tell they also painted the entire front bumper which is cool b/c I think the paint on the bumper was thin- I could see black lines at the edges of the indentations for the faux strip on the bumper

I opted for the AUDI part - it was only $30 more than the fake fender

anyway I can't even tell the car ever had a fender bender

good luck it's gonna look great!

Silly me to assume people would take 3 to mean BMW 3 series or Mazda 3 on an Audi A3 forum

Default You didn't mean the Triumph Rocket III 2294cc Liquid-cooled, in-line 3-cylinder cruiser? :P
