Default Sport package sport seat?

When building an A3 on the Audi site the "sport package" option lists sport seats. I'm currently driving a 2003 A4 with standard leather seats which are okay but certainly not "sport". How do the sport seats in the A3 compare to the standard seats? I was also checking out the seats in the new GTI and GLI this past weekend...do the A3 sport seats compare at all to these?

Default The GTI seats have more side bolsters... personally I like the GTI seats better

...along with the steering wheel too! Other than that the A3 interior is by far better than the GTI and GLI.

Default Had an 04 GTI. I prefer the A3 sport seats to the GTI.

The GTI had bolsters on the sides of the back of the seat. It was a point of wear. Same as the TT I had. I like the A3 ones better.

I'll settle for a GTI like steering wheel.... Wish I could retrofit my old S4 s.w.

Default But the "sport" seats are better than standard seats in the A3?

The sport package with the B6 A4 had the same seats as the non-sport.

Default Double edged sword . . . .

with premium you get a power seat with lumbar adjustment. The range of adjustment is greater than that of the sport seat.

With the sport seats, you get manual adjustments which are more limited than the power seats as well as no lumbar adjustment. On the other hand, they have more bolstering and hold you in better.

My advice is to sit in both and situate yourself with the seats. The sport seats may look cooler and hold you in better, but you could be much more comfortable in the premium seats. It's all up to personal preference. I liked the amount of support the sport seats provided and didn't feel the necessity for the power adjustments and lumbar support in the premium seats. Therefore, I bought the sport package.
