new or certified A3 tdi

new or certified A3 tdi
I'm looking for a certified, low mileage tdi in order to get the 2 additional year warranty, but finding that the price differential between used & new is not that significant. And with a Geico maintenance warranty, not sure if I just need to buy new.

Perhaps I am overly cautious but I would be reluctant to purchase a used current generation diesel powered car unless I knwe the owner personally and was comfortable that the break-in proceedures had been followed religiously. I might buy one if it only had a couple thousand miles on the clock and the price was right.

The break-in procedure is rather involved and covers a lot of miles as is detailed in owners' manuals, ...or at least is was for my 2009 Jetta TDI which has the same engine as the Audi diesels. It may be overkill. I dunno.
