Default Hey, I can give you a suggestion of how to get a thread locked in A3: Call the TT out for being

child in the Audi line up, and how due to it's problems relies on it's aging good looks to continue to be loved on looks alone. Make any reference to more seriously minded sports car *and if you find one cheaper, really watch out*, the the owners take offense. Bring up the fact that outside of a Audi club event, no TT's show up for track days or a/x.

Do that and someone from TT land will pressure the A3 board to shutdown the thread. Trust me. It's rather like your experience on the scooby board.

Default 2nd this went from Audi - considered Scooby - purchased GTI & love it

The A4 3.slow is a tough act to follow IMHO - such an easy car to live with and beautiful inside and out. You have to remember at our age we don't spend all day every day trashing the nuts off a car. Looks, style, comfort, quality are everyday concerns - speed, handling are every second day!

I looked at the Legacy Estate (Wagon) - UK gets a 240bhp 3 litre Spec B that is well regarded with none of the Impreza/WRX rallyboy image. Great car but didn't make me feel special sitting in it.

The GTI is a drop in interior quality & comfort from the Audi but now where near the drop the Legacy was & when you want to get it on not much keeps up with a GTI in everyday performance. Don't flame me on this remark - I said everyday performance!

Default What you gotta remember is......

The car is affordable to most people. Including idiot highschool/college kids. You ask a question online in those boards, I bet my suby on it that you will get some smarta$$ punk that gives you crap.

I am on NASIOC.com. Mostly for the read. I rarely ask a question unless its my last resort. Ive been on there since 04 and still my profile say im a newbie.
There is a ton of good info there, you just gotta know where the crap is too.

Nice car BTW. My brother just got a 08 Wrx.
