Finally, I've ordered my trailer hitch.!
I just received an announcement email from hitch-web. Below is the link to the A3 hitches:
Thanks to those who loaned their A3's to Curt for the development.
One difference from the prototype shown in earlier posts is that the receiver is exposed below the bumper, but it looks like it will be unobtrusive, and far easier to attach the bar.
Eagerly waiting for mine.
And, thanks in advance to oooo-A3 for the great trailer wiring article:
http://oooo-a3.blogspot.com/2006/11/custom-trailer-hitch.html
(Tried to manually create a link, couldn't make it work)
I'll make one change though, and do like I did on my Volvo, where I just stowed the wire under the cargo bay floor, and, when needed , I just flipped out outside and closed the hatch on top of it. (There's enough space on mine to pass CAT5 cable without pinching).

Hitch-Web

I doubt it.. bike racks are pretty light anyway, even when loaded.
I think they're referring to weight distibuting trailer hitches, which try to shift load toward the front of the car with large springs..
UPS says it's at the distibution center, so I should have it tomorrow, and baring any issues, I'll have it installed this weekend.

Like this

Can someone send or link me to a serial port emulator to get Lemmi to work with a VAG-KEY USB cable?
