End of 2006 MY run on A3?

Default End of 2006 MY run on A3?
Went to check out A3s for a possible purchase this past Sunday. The salesperson checked with his manager to be sure, but they said that Audi is done making MY 2006 A3s. Is this true, or was this salesperson possibly just pressuring me to buy something on the lot.

Edit: I ask, because I want to get a pretty basic one than no one seems to have. I also want MY 2006, because there will be no more free scheduled maintainance from Audi. Thanks.

Old news, I believe you can start ordering MY 07 on April 21st.

Default They're probably telling you the truth...
the dealer I've been dealing with just got the last shipment of 06 cars this past weekend, and that's it for them. Next truck will have 07 cars.

Default Basic cars usually vanish first because it's easy for the dealer to create ads around them for
local newspaper and radio promotions. As others point out, inventory is only going to shrink from here on out.
