Default Sweet. You wouldn't happen to have a part# would you?

I can just imagine the sheer befuddlement of the parts dept if I try to explain what I'm looking for. Thats after I give them the VIN of course.

Default I believe it's 8P4 877 307 B. There are 3 colors:

59T black
78W silver
79S beige

This is the front shade, BTW.

FAIL. The 'pull' assembly includes the shade. It's not a separate part. $110.00

Default According to ETKA, 8P4 877 307 is the entire shade. 8P4 877 307 B is the front bow.

If that information isn't of any use to you, then please ignore it...

Default I must be lucky because I haven't had any major problems. The sunshade latch broke but that's about

it. Come to think of it, I haven't heard of serious, recurring problems with the A3 in the past 2 years I've been on this forum. What problems did you hear from the other owners?

Default Thanks...

The FAIL was at getting just the bow, not your post FTR. I did stipulate the 'B' suffix but according to this dealership, it's the entire shade. I'll try again without the 'B' and have him compare the two part descriptions. After all of this, I'm considering a self-fix. Gotta find some small, strong magnets.

Default Gotta find some small, strong magnets.... Velcro? I'm trying to work this out as a solution too

The rear armrest lid latch on my car broke. Livermore Audi wouldn't fix it, so I lined the raised plastic section with velcro, and well, screw Livermore Audi, my DIY works fine.

Default I don't think Velcro will have the right action for the sunshade.

I want it to sort of 'snap' shut like it normally would with the latch. Good idea for a short term solution until I can solidify my idea.
