Default For all out there considering tint - please read.

I just had my A3 done in 3M Crystalline 70%, which is near clear. I did all windows, including full windshield and sunroofs.
The heat/IR rejection of this stuff is impressive, better than Huper Optik. Read up on it on the tinting forums. There's also no metal in this film, so it's good to go for reception and detectors.

It's a very light tint, pretty much unnoticeable on the windshield, and a nice light smoke on the side and back glass (which already had a mild factory tint).
Day and night glare reduction is also impressive, and nightime visibility is perfect. No annoying interior reflections.
If you can't tell, I'm pretty jazzed about this film, and i've had quite a few cars with premium tints I'll try to post pics after I wash the car this weekend.

Default Yeah - it was pricey. I feel a bit foolish paying $800 for a $250 tint job

But for me the clarity, lack of distortion, and fairly stock appearance are worth it. I'm 55, don't see as well as I used too. As I said, this stuff is wonderful at night - no interior reflections.

Default Already have tint...

That said, I might be interested in putting this on my front windshield.
