Yes, live in PA
There's a Harely Davidson dealership just outside Gettysburg. Every weekend, all the "Easy Rider" posers congragate at the dealership. I'd say 75-80% don't wear any type of protective gear.

Never underestimate the scooter--proof inside.
Some riders are too snobbish to wave at scooters, but if I spot you on the streets, I'll be sure to do so.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRVyZZXBICA</a

Now, by Pastel Green, do you mean...
Series IIA & III patel green - or some new Land Rover color I'm unfamiliar with?
I always wanted Pastel Green. But for my 6 Series Land Rovers, I ended up with Bronze Green, Marine Blue and some odd shade of Chevy green. That's excluding my '66, which had virtually each shade except Pastel Green (including Poppy Red, purple and yellow). That one was impaled by a slurry wagon that broke free from a farmer's tractor about 2 weeks after I sold it to the new owner. A shame, as it had a galvanised chassis. I'm going on, aren't I? Time to let them go...
PS: I love your - client's - MC12.

Diatribe. Read if you wish...
If there's one thing I can't grasp, it's failing to wear a helmet/seatbelt/eyegoggles, etc.
Virtually every time I don't, I end up coming millimeters from impalement. For example, I installed a work lamp on my tractor yesterday - it was ~ 15 degrees out - and I had a 1/2" drill bit in my drill. The thought never crossed my mind to put on protective goggles, as it was such a large bit. Sure as shi!, it broke and flew through the air near my face. Lesson learned, for the time being - until next time I'm in a hurry. Can't believe I still have 10 fingers...
As for motorcycles, there's nothing I'd rather try, but I'm just too intimidated by the machines and by other drivers. A 1985 Honda 250 scooter sits in my parent's garage with
~200 miles on it - waiting for the day that it can be used on some remote road. It's been waiting there, well, 21 years...
I keep regressing deeper and deeper into paranoia as I grow older. Just in the last two years, I've passed on two of my favorite cars ever (see post below) that I could actually afford. One was a 1976 Saab 99 EMS in truly mint condition - silver with black stripe, soccer ball wheels, every repair record since new. Asking price was $3900. Passed because the seatbelts looked weak. Really. Also passed on a 1983 Zermatt silver ur quattro in need of minor restoration - except it ran well, had the right options (i.e. steering wheel, 8" Ronals, euro headlights). Seemed unsafe driving it.
Am I always going to be this way? Will it get worse? I wasn't always this way...
