Hi Chaps,

I have an A3 1.6 sport year 2000 it has massive power loss when the car gets hot and I cannot find the problem?

I have tried new AFM, new intake hoses and idle control valve hoses cleaned the throttle body, new plugs and ht leads.

Its not miss firing so left the coil pack alone.

Also I have just replaced the temperature sensor and it is still giving inaccurate readings as it sits at around 105 ish but its not boiling water and there are no signs of a head gasket problem?

I took it to my local garage and plugged it in and there are no error codes? I am unsure on what to do with it?

Any ideas?

Audi A3(2001) having a power loss problem about 12 months ago. It was solved y replacing the air mass meter. I think this was the best solution on this.

Thank you for the response I had already replaced the Mass Air Flow sensor, temperature sensor, all vacuum hoses, plugs and leads and turns out the problem was a fault crank angle (engine speed) sensor.
