5-door is the current Sportback. The sedan will have a trunk rather than a hatch which makes it a 4-door.

Based on sales, VW apparently has no problem selling Mexican-produced Jettas and Beetles. It doesn't matter what the country of origin is--they're all built using production systems designed in Germany. When the Audi factory opens I would guess that they'll be building the top-selling models such as A4s and A6s.

The Q5 has been confirmed for Mexico. But that's 2015-2016.

The 2014 A3 should still be made in Germany.

I'm sold on the 4 door Sedan.

There's always European Delivery for the 'savings' and getting a real Audi.
Thankfully, they're sticking to the SUV range for now in Mexico...

Eueropean delivery of US market equipped cars can be a good alternatve for those who want to tour Europe by car and are willing to wait a couple months for their new car(s) to meet them stateside. Bear in mind that cars not so equipped are ineligible.

I think he/she's convinced that "real" Audis are built only in Germany.

Thanks. I misunderstood the earlier post.

IMO based on personal experience, the point of assembly is of little or no importance.
