Default 2010 A3 front right ABS harness replacement - request for tips and tricks

I am helping a friend's son with a 2010 2.0T A3, the front right ABS wheel speed sensor harness was not secure and rubbed on the half-shaft/axle. While I see the replacement part available, it is not a plug on both ends, it has flying leads on the ECU side. It appears to pass through the vehicle body right next to the ABS module and from there it ties into either the vehicle harness or maybe the branch to the ABS. It is pretty tight in that area (firewall on passenger side).

I am comfortable working with pretty much all aspects, including wiring.

Before tearing into this, does anyone have any suggestions to approach this front right wheel speed sensor harness replacement or repair?
