Default tranny, engine, and front subframe mounts - strategy

i've finished doing the rear subframe + diff mounts in the back and re-installed the axles, suspension arms, etc.

i beleive my plan for the front of the car will be as follows

- remove A-arms from subframe, pivot out of the way
- place jack under transmission
- undo transmission mount bolts
- undo front swaybar bracket bolts, remove brackets
- undo 4 subframe mount bolts
- remove subframe + transmission mounts
-- press out old subframe bushings, put new tranny mounts into subframe

- remove front bumper / snub mount bracket
- place second jack under block of wood under oil pan
- loosen big hardware on engine mounts
- jack engine
- remove engine mounts
- insert new engine mounts
- lower engine
- install new snub mount

- reinstall subframe "cassete" with tranny mounts
- reinstal A-arms + sway bar brackets + swaybar

- line up snub mount up front

does this sound about right ? Will i have to drop the cat and heat shield to get at the passenger side tranny mount?

What is the correct orientation/clearance/alignment of the metal U channel that the front snub mount fits into?

Default Done

Plan worked pretty well. The only thing i'd add is that it is helpful to remove the front sway bar entirely. I'd say i have less than 10 hours in the removal and reinstallation, and that included pressing out the garbage bushings from the subframe. Car is back on the ground now awaiting final tightening of control arm and rear tie rod hardware.

The other deviation - i didn't remove the bumper to do the snub mount, i removed the front engine mount entirely from the engine, (working from beneath the car), and then R&R'd the snub mount with the bracket off the car. Then i re-installed it onto the engine and re-installed the U-channel bracket.
