Default a '93 90q tranny has a tighter gear ratio than a 88?
i am hoping to pick up a b4q tranny and do another tranny swap during the engine swap. the b4q tranny has 4.11 gears and the b3 has 3.70 IIRC. i really want the 01E

B4q's all have 3.89:1 finals. B3q's all have 4.11:1 finals...

oops my bad...so u think moving to a b4q would be a good idea because of the extra HP?

Default If you want less acceleration and more top end, then go for it (don't forget the rear diff would
need changed too, which is a PITA since only a very select few will work). Otherwise, don't bother.
