Default Stoptech on CQ: lot of fitting?

Has anyone ever put Stoptech brakes on a CQ ?
I have an opportunity to get Stoptech out of a b5 A4 and I was wondering if there would be a lot of fine tuning for the installation (bracket, etc.). Has someone ever did this conversion ?

I've searched the forum but I've found nothing clear about it.

Thanks guys.

Nope, still in my basement waiting for a new good home. Interested ?
I was holding on to them until I received my s2 hubs and I just got them today... so they're back on the market now.

I'd imagine that you'd have to re-do the brackets and rotor hats. Stock calipers are different from a CQ to an A4, and obviously the bolt pattern difference. Something else that may be a problem with the hat is that the CQ likely has a different offset between the hub face and caliper mounting bosses.

Stock A4 calipers/brackets bolt directly onto the upright. You might have to do some finagling/adjusting on the carrier to get the offset correct, though.

I made boxster calipers w/ A4 bracket work on my 4000 (w/ B3 uprights), but had to do some spacing of the bearing and the carrier to get it all to match up w/ the A8 rotors.

So moral of story: Anything is possible depending on how much work/effort you want to put into it

The largest issue I could see is that they are not willing to sell bits and pieces.

thanks, that's exactly what we're thinking..
I just wanted to know if someone has ever done this conversion before on his CQ. If not, then I'll try to document it as much as I can !

are they two piece rotors? if they are I'm sure you could get a set of new hats made for a reasonable price to your specifications.
