I neither love it nor hate it. Right now I'm struggling with it due to its newness and the inevitable learning curve. I've seen these mass migrations away from here before in my 10 year tenure. And went on several myself only to find my way back here because of sheer member volume and knowledge base. Those other places just never quite took off. Not saying they "can't" but simply that they "never have previously."

I won't list my likes/dislikes about either beyond saying the new one is a struggle for me right now. And I don't care too much about tracking threads or about new posts going to the top. But when I set the old preferences up at KAWF I could see "exactly" the same amount of threads as I do now. vB has not increased my screen size or post count on a "per page" basis.

It's awkward right now, a PITA, inconvenient and blindingly "white." I'm old, set in my ways, abhor change in any form. But I ain't goin anywere... BTDT!

With the old setup...

1 - click 'tt' beside a post... it adds it to your tracked threads... anytime there is a post, it jumps to the top of your forum, and you can see all tracked threads by going to the 'Your Tracked Threads' option on the forum list...

2 - meh... handy at times, annoying when people start saying 'bump'

3 - a change in your preferences changed how many threads you viewed per page.

Just saying... other than #2... KAWF had it.

Yeah bumping is lame.

I guess I just like this style.

oh I dunno, I've had some great bumps and some not-so-good bumps. Can't say I've ever had a bad bump. Oh wait you said "bumps"... nevermind. ;-)

Some will be back eventually. The funny thing I can see happening is that complete satisfaction will not be had by either forum, so some of these people will doing twice the work trying to use both.
I'm at the very least going to learn the ropes before I decide if it's crap or not. Chances are I'll adapt quickly; after all I'm fine with MG and the S2 forums. This is my home tho :-)

I'm willing to admit... I've had one or two bad bumps... college will do that to you.

when ya get to be 60 or so even the less-than-stellar college romps tend to provide all the best fantasies. Something about "couldn't even hold a cigarette under em" that likely makes seem better than they were. Today all I can think of is I don't know what that is but it sure needs ironing!

Ok... well atleast now they've added the forum drop-down menu when you're reading a thread (to let you jump to another forum). They're still working on it.
