So what was this 2.6 V6 I have read about? Maybe it was for the Asian or Australian market?
Europe had a choice of 2.6 when Avant was introduced. Both Sedan and Avant were available with the 2.6 or 2.8
The choice carried over to the A4 as well.
They always had ton of engine choices for each of the models.

i love those sites, saved them to my favorites. i couldnt make the pictures in ur signiture bigger, whats the badge in ur grill. is that the quattro badge? and is that aftermarket, i like it.

Unlike the NA market in which we had one flavor usually and we had to like it!
Choice is good.

I recall back in the day with BMW the best engines were the Euro models thus the gray market cars were quite nice and expensive if you could fine one.

The NA engines were all power reduced thanks to politics and regulations.
