new rear wheel bearings causing problem?
I just had new rear wheel bearings installed in a '94 90 quattro. Could something during that proccess through off the quattro? I notice it now seems to handle poorly especially on icy roads. Feels like it's drifting around. I thought at first I had a flat or something but the tires & lug nuts are fine.

If bushings, tire, and alignment are good, check one of the rear CV axles, likely one of the inner CV joint is failing.
I went through that and took me a while to figure it out. My car was also un-predictable during snowy or icy days.

Thanks. Still checking. Roads were frosted today & the handling was horrible, thought I was going to spin out even at reduced speed (passed by a couple cars that had too, one flipped onto it's roof) but I've been winter driving for months now & this just isn't usual. Maybe a stupid question but how does a quattro handle if the differential is locked? I've never even thought of pushing the button in all the years I've driven one. I don't think the button has been pushed, it seems to be out. That's right, right? Been so long since I've even noticed it.
