Man that a new trans, axles, hubs, rear brakes, rear suspension, fuel tank, exhaust, anything else I'm missing fellas?

Default The entire floor pan is different from the A-pillar area to the rear bumper...

Converting a FWD chassis to quattro is just plain stupid, just by a friggin quattro equipped car, makes much more sense to do that than to take the hundreds of hours involved and convert. That is my not so humble opinion.

^ It's easy to do the 5 lug conversion on a quattro. But no easy way to do it on the fwd cars.

Actually there is, but I wouldn't recommend it. Redrill the stock hubs and brake rotors to a 5x112 bolt pattern.

Can't, the hubs for 4X108, do not have enough meat further out in the diameter, to drill for 5X112. May not seem like much is needed, but if this was possible, it would have been done by now.

True. I was thinking of 4x114.3 to 5x114.3 when I wrote that. Forgot about the fact that the 5x112 diameter is obviously greater.
