Default 95 90Q with a AAN engine

Hi guys.... I bought a 95 90 about 6 months ago and i decided to do the "S2" install. The few things I refused to do were the the side radiator and the engine mount welding from an earlier 90. The pix are not the best from my cell phone but you will get the idea. The donor car was a 92 S4 with MTM software that I found in Gloucester Ma for $1000....
<a href="http://s125.photobucket.com/albums/p58/leemalo/AUDI%2090Q%20WITH%20AAN%20ENGINE/?action=view&current=IMG00271.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p58/leemalo/AUDI%2090Q%20WITH%20AAN%20ENGINE/IMG00271.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

In about 1 day we had the S4 engine out and V6 out of the 90. The ANN engine bolted right in the 90 but I had to fabricate some engine mounts. With steel I had sitting around the shop, I made up the brakets in about an hour and I used 2001 S4 engine mounts for isolators

<a href="http://s125.photobucket.com/albums/p58/leemalo/AUDI%2090Q%20WITH%20AAN%20ENGINE/?action=view&current=P9090945.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p58/leemalo/AUDI%2090Q%20WITH%20AAN%20ENGINE/P9090945.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

This is the drivers side and I used the factory bolts and bolt holes that secure through the frame of the car
<a href="http://s125.photobucket.com/albums/p58/leemalo/AUDI%2090Q%20WITH%20AAN%20ENGINE/?action=view&current=P9090943.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p58/leemalo/AUDI%2090Q%20WITH%20AAN%20ENGINE/P9090943.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s125.photobucket.com/albums/p58/leemalo/AUDI%2090Q%20WITH%20AAN%20ENGINE/?action=view&current=utf-8BSU1HMDAzMjAuanBn.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p58/leemalo/AUDI%2090Q%20WITH%20AAN%20ENGINE/utf-8BSU1HMDAzMjAuanBn.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
This is the drivers bracket before I cleaned it up and painted it.... I would show the passenger side but the pix didn't come out so good..

The whole job isn't very hard...I just takes time.
I did have to drill a hole in the fire wall to run the the harness through
<a href="http://s125.photobucket.com/albums/p58/leemalo/AUDI%2090Q%20WITH%20AAN%20ENGINE/?action=view&current=P9090957.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p58/leemalo/AUDI%2090Q%20WITH%20AAN%20ENGINE/P9090957.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
I now have it all sealed and water tight ...but on the inside I have some more work to do. <a href="http://s125.photobucket.com/albums/p58/leemalo/AUDI%2090Q%20WITH%20AAN%20ENGINE/?action=view&current=P9090949.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p58/leemalo/AUDI%2090Q%20WITH%20AAN%20ENGINE/P9090949.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

I did have to fabricate a radiator support and the radiator was from a 1988 Jetta 16 valve ( NEW) <a href="http://s125.photobucket.com/albums/p58/leemalo/AUDI%2090Q%20WITH%20AAN%20ENGINE/?action=view&current=P9090942.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p58/leemalo/AUDI%2090Q%20WITH%20AAN%20ENGINE/P9090942.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<a href="http://s125.photobucket.com/albums/p58/leemalo/AUDI%2090Q%20WITH%20AAN%20ENGINE/?action=view&current=P9090941.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p58/leemalo/AUDI%2090Q%20WITH%20AAN%20ENGINE/P9090941.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

The other thing I found was the power steering pump from the V6 bolted right on the ANN engine and all I had to do was rework the steel line going to the pump<a href="http://s125.photobucket.com/albums/p58/leemalo/AUDI%2090Q%20WITH%20AAN%20ENGINE/?action=view&current=P9090964.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p58/leemalo/AUDI%2090Q%20WITH%20AAN%20ENGINE/P9090964.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

I will have the AC installed and working in a few weeks but that will have to wait till I have the engine running. There is alot more that I did as you can see through the pix but if you have any comments please post them. I am looking for positive or negative feedback. thank you for your time

Default wow great job. what will you do with the URS?

Hey, are you going to part out the rest of the URS or no. I've been looking for a set of 92 springs for a while. My name is Sean shoot me an E-mail me @ debo0017@yahoo.com if your looking to get rid of a few S4 parts to keep mine nice. Thanks

Nice job man.......now that it's been a couple of years is there anything that went wrong on the long run and that you would do differently?

Looking to do the same swap in my '94 and i dont want a side radiator either.

This is what it looks like after the years of fine tweaking. The radiator is from summit racing and I think it was around $300. The engine now has:

-GT3071 turbo
-RS2 exhaust manifold
- 550cc injectors
- intake manifold spacer
- 034 Motorsport RIP chip
- 2.75" Frankenstein exhaust ( slapped together )
- blah blah blah stuff. Lol

To lazy to list it all but the car rip **** down the street. The only thing that was a little bit of rash was getting it to be cool ( under 200deg ). The fix was the radiator from summit and real good fans. It will never over heat ... Even if it is 100+ outside. I have done 4 all day track events in the summer and the engine never gave me a problem with the coolant system .

What else would like to know. ?? I hope I can help
