Default Window Regulator

'91 200

Can someone tell me how to remove the fastener that connects the regulator to the window bracket at the base of the window glass? The Bentley is not clear if these are clips or what. I don't know how to proceed to get the regulator and motor out. Any help would be appreciated.

Front drivers side if that matters.

Thanks!

Default It's pretty easy to get to that "C" clip thing if you remove the 4 window frame

bolts & let it fall into you a bit. I then use a small flate blade screwdriver to remove the "C" clip.
BTDT many many times.

Default getting them out was the easy part, once I figure out they were clips, putting them back in however

was a different story

Default I have replaced the "C" clip a few times over the years.........

when I had to replace a window from a break in. I finally learned through trial and error, to remove the inner panel to give access to the circular thick pin with the recess grove. Once exposed, I would hold the glass panel in place with vice grips, then replace the "C" clip with needle nose pliars. This method is a lot faster, a lot less frustrating, and when finined you know for sure that the "C" clip is fully snapped into the proper position.

Suggest using a magic marker for corect alignment of the inner panel before disassembly, then, reassembly is a snap, with no allignment problems.
