Window Lift Motors
Ok after fighting with the wiring in my 87 5000csqt i finally isolated the power and ground wires for the power windows and the sunroof (power didnt work for them because of harness fried. anyways i ran them to a new relay and got power and up they went! but now a new problem, they always went up really slow and now that i got them all up the driver's window wont go down, you can hear it try but it cant. im guessing the window motor finally took a ****, anyone have a set of 4 laying around that they wanna part with? Id prefer to replace all of them when i have the car apart. Thank!

Re: Window Lift Motors
I am guessing that your window motor is still good. If the motor was shot, you would hear nothing. I bet you have incorrectly rewired to the window switch. The noise that you hear is the window still trying to be raised, even though you are pushing the window button to lower the window.
Suggest checking your wiring. I seem to remember that it is a three wire set up. Reposition the positive wire to see if that fixes the problem.
