Wheel bearings, searched threads but .......
No luck. Anyway, came back from an extended out of town job to my car making a roar/hum from the front end. Seems to be worse when I make left turns and less when I make right turns. Let clutch in and no change in sound. Does not get much louder if you travel at 60 VS 30mph. Son was driving it for the 3 months I was gone and he does not pay attention to anything except his I-pod so he never noticed. Can anyone verify wheel bearing and a possible low cost source to purchase? I'm going to take it in next week to confirm but any advice prior would be helpful. Car has 169K and clutch is also at the end of it's life, but so far no slipping as of today.

LOL.. dude.. that's one oddly shaped cranium!
They aren't too expensive and I believe any worldpac dealer can get them no matter what year and model. It's a good idea to add your ride to your signature that way we always know what V-hicle we are speaking about.

Sure sounds like a bearing. With one wheel up in the air you can grab the wheel itself and rock it fore-aft, and up-down to see if there is any play in the bearing. Then take the wheel again and rotate forward and back to see if there is any play in the CV.
The bearing itself should be around $70 or so depending on where you get it.
Here is one place you can find it...
