Default trouble sourcing throttle cable for 1990 200 turbo quattro

I need some help here. My 200 throttle cable started sticking and i can't locate a new one despite some intensive searching. I think I'm looking for part number 443721555J. Is there another cable that fits my car? The problem with the throttle cable 447721555 is the flange that goes through the firewall is too small to anchor the cable there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Ben

I think you want pn# 443721555H as 443721555J is for the 200 20v.

That would make your 200 a 1991 200 20v then unless you are in Europe?

The car was initially billed as an 89 when I bought it, the title says it's a 90 and yet it has the 20v engine. It is completely stock too, never had an engine swap. Was the 20v available as an option in 90? The original owner, who is friends with my in-laws, and his brother each bought a 200 TQ wagon. They are high-end kind of folks so if there was a more-powerful engine option available they would have sprung for it. Curious. All I know is the Gemco throttle cable for the 1990 200 has a firewall bushing that is too small and thus won't anchor.

Thanks

The 20v motor was only available in the states in the 1991 200 20v. Does it have flared fenders? Whats the build date on the vin sticker in the drivers door frame?

"high end kind of folks" may have put it on a plane(military)/shipped the car which could explain the descrepancy.....You may own a 1 of kind of car...who knows. VIN should sort that out....Tom
