Default tach works about 10% of the time
What are some things to check. My speedometer works about 90% of the time, when it doesn't I can tap on the glass and it goes back into place. So that tells me there is a loose connection on the back of the cluster. My tach, however, does nothing when I tap the glass of the cluster, what are some other things to check out? Thanks!

The cluster comes out just by taking out the 2 screws at the top right?

Default Yes. Consult your shop manual.
Assuming your car is a 5000 and not a 100 or 200.
