Should I have removed screen on Brand New Pierburg Pump ??
Guys,
still trying to get 87' 5K CST working, I just realized that I did not remove the screen on my brand new pierburg pump. I have read about removing the screen on old Bosch pumps, should I have removed it on my new pump?

No.

2nd^...
dealerships now recommend you cut the screen
due to settling and wear of inside of gas tank lining on these old cars now... but leave the plastic bag screen and cut away a little of the other one

Re: No.
My 87' doesn't look like that, it has a triangle holder, and the green bag gets real close to the bottom of the tank.
By the way I have left the green bag on, I DID NOT cut it off.
