Appeared today, ll/04/08 on Craig's List in Indianapolis, IN. I don't think Audi called their car an A-8, as seller states, but looked like a nice car for someone. So, thought I would pass it along. Picture in write up on Craig's List.

I've seen a few V8's advertised as A8's over the yrs. I think it's a marketing ploy however, anyone interested in a V8 knows the car very well perhaps more than the seller so why these people play name games with the car model to me is silly. If I were to sell my 5K I'd list it as a 5K not a 200 or one could argue that the new version of the type 44 is the A6. Can you imagine trying to sell a 5K but calling it an A6? LOL

Or the seller is so stupid about the car he just assumes it's an A8 since it has a V8 in it. Seems to be a lot of V8's listed with close to 100K miles on them also lately. I find that suspect. These cars were driven by most not garage queeens. I'm not a fan of anything on C L anyway. I've heard enough horror stories to stay away or at least proceed with extreme caution.

Don't get me wrong, it may be the best V8 around I just am really turned off by any car that is advertised by the wrong name. That, and the fact it's on C L makes it seem fishy

I saw a 5ktq with "*** JDM" on the trunk....I'm pretty sure that it wasn't a "special edition" made by Audi either.

V8 owners probably have the same problem that urQ owners have when they go to the parts counter:
"What car is this for"
"A Quattro"
"Yeah...but which car?"
