Well it took almost 9 months, but I finally got all the parts and a shop to rebuild my front end. In about 7 hours (2 man job) I caught up on years of maintenance:

Bilstein Struts
H&R Springs
Strut mounts, boots, bearings
Lower control arms with associated bearings & bushings & hardware
subframe mounts & hardware
engine mounts
transmission mounts
both half shafts

It's like a new freakin' automobile! The front end doesn't dip when I stop, doesn't rise when I take off, no more clunking during shifts, and no more crunching and popping when I turn. No engine vibration or hum from the cabin either. So this is what driving an Audi is like, eh? :P All the torque, woot. Time for a highway test. It should take a bit for the springs to set in I guess.

I know what you mean I just had major suspension rebuild done on my 5ktq, it feels and rides like a new car! It's amazing, course now I want more power, lol! It never ends with these cars, glad your car is doin well now.

other then the struts and springs .. how much did this cost you?! part wise?!

I'm not sure...most everything I got from Blaufergnugen. It's been a slow accumulation over the last few months.

I am in the midst of tackling this project also...I am going to start with motor mounts,tranny mounts,rear diff. mounts and then start saving again after that for all 4 suspension kits. Your post has given me hope that all this money will be worth it! thanks!

Now to convince "the mrs." that this will be cheaper than a new car! :-)
