Default jammed hood

hey guys
i drive a 91 audi 100 and recently my hood has been jammed.. or something of the sort
when i pull my hood release only the passenger side of the hood pops open.. while the drivers side of the hood sticks. thus preventing me from opening my hood.
when i tried it again.. i noticed that the hood doesnt really "lock" into place in that side.. its kinda of a squishy stuck in place.. and it wont budge. anything you guys have encountered? how do i get my hood open!?

Default Re: jammed hood

Howdy,

It might be the plastic keeper has broken on the hood cable and isn't pulling the latch loose. This has happened in my 89 200. I took a piece of coat hanger, doubled it up, and made a hook to reach in there an unlatch the hood manually. It's a bit tricky to do the first time, but I've gotten better at it as time has gone one. Finally bought the parts from the dealer and fixed the problem.

Cheers!
