i have new respect for the 10vt
this afternoon i drove the audi home from work where it has sat for the past month. after 15 minutes of idling and another 15 minute drive home the engine no longer ticks. it revs like it used to, it runs smooth like it used to, it now feels like the whole hose incident never happened. my respect for that engine continues to grow.

I can't kill mine...
...3yrs ago the oil lines into the cooler let go twenty miles from my house. F' it i drove it home loosin' oil the whole way. Last 200 yards it had no oil in it. I thought for sure she was gone. Towed it to my mech, fixed the line (geez us those oil hoses are expensive) and not even a slight chirp from the bearings. That was 35,000 miles ago and it still runs strong.
