Default brake hose for 5000CStq front brake upgrade

Hi All!

I'm finally getting around to upgrading the front brakes on my 1986 5000CStq with 312x25mm front brake rotors from 1997-99 Audi A8, 8N0615125 carrier brackets, and A4 calipers. I will also be replacing the rubber brake hoses. Do I use the 443611775 hoses as originally on the car, or does this upgrade require the later 5000CStq hoses (442611707C?), A4 hoses (8D0611707B?), or do I use something else? Has anybody else done this swap? Any BTDTs would be a great help. Oh, PNs for front pads would be appreciated!

Also, any tips on separating the hard lines from the rubber brake rubber hoses? I checked them last week and they were really "frozen." I shot the joints/fittings with some penetrant (PB Blaster), but I'm looking for additional tips for separating them without messing up the hard-lines just in case.

Thanks in advance!

Did the car originally have G60's? 443611707C would be hose I would use it it's longer than the 443611775 and should work.
Keep soaking the hard line to hose connection cleaning the area with compressed air and brake cleaner will help a little too. Make sure to use a flare or lock wrench on the line fitting. a4 front pads are 8D0698151C
without sensor wires a8 pads 4D0698151H have sensor wires but they won't plug into the 5k you'd need to splice them some how but I would just bypass the pad waring and run the a4 pads.

Thanks for the quick reply!

No, it didn't have the G60s. I was leaning towards the 442611707C as it will screw directly into the caliper rather than reusing the existing hard line--and that means I will need the added length as you suggested. I appreciate the PNs for the pads--I will probably go with the "un-wired" A4 pads, as I'm already having some issues with the pad wear sensors.

BTW, that's an impressive "stable" you have listed in your signature line!

Thanks again!
