ECU
I posted awhile ago about cold engine running problem in my 1990 Audi 100 Quattro, still dealing with it. the car runs great & starts great but it still has a too lean condition on start. before this problem I had an ECU failure, I replaced ECU with a unit from non quattro 100 parts car. I now have opened that ECU to look at it & compare with the original ECU which has obvious corrosion around a cluster of terminals, the non quattro ECU has no signs of corrosion but the board is physically different, I have a second non quattro ECU installed but too lean condition with cold engine is the same, I'm starting to realize the ECU's are different & may have my original ECU repaired, anyone recommend an ECU repair company? or any comment on difference between Quattro & non Quatrro ECU'S?

post a WTB here and on Audifans - chances are *someone* has a spare that they'd sell you for far less than the cost to repair or replace yours. I'd also post it over on motorgeek as well.

I'm getting conflicting opinions on whenther Quattro ECU is different than Non Quattro ECU, original unit is 443 906 264 D, the ECU I have installed now is from a FWD 100 & it is # 443 906 264 F, but my buddy Eric at VWParts says they are the same & interchangeable, can anyone confirm this????

Check the Bosch number on the ECU
