I have a 1990 100Q & a 1987 5KQ, both seem to be having bomb issues, I am aware of the square style for the 100 & round style for the 5K. I also know of the recharge program run by an Audi person in PA. I took the bomb off my 100 parts car, low mileage & the bomb looked like it had been replaced, & installed it in my 100, it is an improvement over the failed one it replaced but it's not right & I want to either get a new one or have the one I removed recharged, both of the 100 bombs have a threaded mounting stud in front, as does the 5K, but ALL the new ones I see for sale, both round & square, do NOT have a threaded stud in front, but have a non threaded mounting tab, are all new replacement bombs without the threaded stud? can anyone enlighten me?
