Default 1990 V8Q Recommended battery

I just got my license plates in the mail for the new car, so it's back to the recondition fun.

What kind of battery should I get? I can't seem to find any product selector that has batteries for my car.

Paul, assuming you are in the USA, both Interstate and BatteriesPlus have listings for your particular car.

You can't go wrong with an Interstate.

Group 49 or 48 is the battery size. Get the one with the largest CCA that you can afford. I recently got one @ the Battery recycler that tested @ 950CCA for $29. FWIW, I've got an 8yo Diehard that's still working. You might also want to check how much parasitic draw your car has. Lago has about 300ma which I'm gonna guess is normal, the 5-speed is more like 850 and split between fuse 4(bunch of stuff) and fuse 27(Motronic)....Till I figure it out, I just remove those fuses otherwise the battery gets run down pretty quick. http://www.interstatebatteries.com/c...terstate_f.asp

I had to check, and not only is it the exact same size but 49 and 93 in today's world are interchangeable, according to the local battery guy, and apparently Interstate's chart. While Interstate's chart lists the 49 as 750CCA, both my Diehard 49and my Napa49 are 850CCA.
