Anybody here still using VWTOOL? (yes, I'm a dinosaur...)
I find it does 99% of what I want it to do on the 1999- cars I play with.
I happen to have two current projects my OBDTOOL interface (OBDII compliant only) won't interface with...a 1990 100 and a 1995 A6.
What are you guys using to interface the VWTOOL to the cars this vintage?

I have asian made adapter (eBay) and 2x2 connector, I can read automatic 4-speed transmission in my '91 100, but I can't read engine ECU. Both with VWTOOL and VAG-COM 3.11. I tested this adapter with bunch of cars, it worked everywhere: '99 A6, '98 A8, '00 Passat, '96 Golf, '00 Jetta, etc.
I guess for older cars you still need to use led light to read engine ECU.
Sorry, I don't know for your '95 A6, IMHO should at least read engine, auto transmission, ABS, Airbags. My first guess make sure battery has proper voltage.
