3b coil on plug conversion
Hey everyone, haven't bought the car yet just doing some research on them. I watched the video that Dave from BrokenQuattros made comparing the 3B, 7A and AAN engines. Combining what I learned from his video which was epic, watch it if you have not, the 3B head can be machined to fit a cam sensor because they are made from the same cast, and abandon the nightmare distributor/hall sensor problems. I understand this would require a healthy amount of frankenstein work. Has anyone done this to a 3B? please elighten us if you have. Thanks so much for your time.

[QUOTE=cuatrokoop;25827140]You'd want to run an AAN or some stand-alone engine management system. The 3B's Motronic system won't work with COP as far as I know.
that’s what I have been gathering, would require an AAN donor essentially, machine for a cam sensor, and pinning for the harness to fit the AAN ECM. However I just can’t imagine it being that simple.
