Default 1990 Audi V8 Quattro Chip?

I have a 1990 Audi V8 Quattro that I would like to chip. Does anyone have a link to a website that sells them? Will the performance increase be noticeable? Any tips or advice about chipping would be cool! Thanks in advance.

Chipping a normally aspirated engine generally provides little additional performance.

I chipped mine and the difference was substantial. First of all performance increase was quite noticeable. However, the best part was the change to the transmission shift points. It shifts later, allowing higher rpm per gear, making it much more enjoyable to drive. I'm a thrill seeker and topped the car out at 155 mph. 3 mph over stock! I'm also certain I picked up 1 or 2 mpg in normal driving. Also, the 32 valve system seems to operate a bit like a 4 barrel carburetor by allowing additional flow at a certain rpm. My chip lowered that "kick-in" to a lower rpm, adding further to driving pleasure, and increasing off the line performance. I've had the chip for over 7 years now and I'm trying to find where I purchased it from. If I can find it, I'll post it.

No most of the old boards a long gone.. there was a small discussion on motorgeek that I found here: http://www.motorgeek.com/viewtopic.php?p=629432

The short version is about +30Hp and +1-2MPG BUT if there are any weak points on the existing car the new chip's settings will make them appear, as the tolerances are much narrower. That said, don't you have one?? What do you think??

Back in the day my Audi tech chipped his V8 and noticed no improvement in performance. It could be that different companies offer different programs and I dont know where he sent his brain off to to get the chip.
